Annually, in recognition of National Children's Dental Health month, Dr. Appleton and Ms. Molar visit several Frederick County Schools and talk to the students about how important it is to have good oral health care. Together they demonstrate, with the help of the students, the correct way to brush and floss their teeth. The students are also taught about food choices, what is good and what is not good for their teeth. There is a video starring Kirby the chimpanzee who also shows how to brush and floss. The students will agree that Ms. Molar makes their learning experience fun!

2011 HALLOWEEN CANDY BUY BACK---OPERATION GRATITUDE
This was our first year to participate with this GREAT event! On November 1, 2011 Premiere Dental Arts participated with dental offices nationwide in the Halloween Candy Buy Back. We collected over 100 pounds of candy!
While promoting oral health in our community, we also can give some joy to our troops abroad. We had several military families that came in and told us that they can't tell us enough how much the troops appreciate events like this. It really does brighten the day of a soldier.
The evening was filled with lots of children wanting to get rid of the "cavity causing" candy, which they received $1 per pound up to 5 pounds, pictures with Ms. Molar, a goody bag (no candy), a new toothbrush and a whole lot of fun>
We want to thank everyone for their support in helping us to make this a huge success. Self-Storage Plus in Walkersville donated the boxes to send the candy to California to Operation Gratitude, Nestle Tollhouse donated coupons for free cookies, Paradise of Fun donated free 30 minutes play time coupons, McDonalds donated coupons for one of 4 snacks, and Wegmans for their candy donation! A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL!
We are looking forward to next year!
What a Great Time!
On May 11, 2012 Premiere Dental Arts hosted a day of FREE Dental Care to the community. The event was a first come first serve basis, and we treated over 100 patients, for cleanings, fillings and extractions. We even took on a patient that needed full dentures. We felt especially in these tough economic times, this was our way to give back to the community. Our hope is to make this an annual event. It was a very busy, crazy and rewarding day for all.
Dr. Wear and Dr. Appleton are featured guest dental experts who appear on A NEW ME Medical interviews which can be seen on CNN, FOX News, MSNBC, and Bravo.
